Overview
LiteForex (LiteFinance for the international rebrand) has been in the market since 2005 — among the oldest active forex brokers. The Cyprus arm operates under CySEC license 093/08; the offshore book runs through an SVG-registered entity. With 289 instruments across forex, metals, energy, cryptocurrencies, indices, and stocks, plus MT4 / MT5 / cTrader support, LiteForex covers the standard retail trading toolkit without trying to do everything.
Regulation & safety
The headline license is CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission), license number 093/08, operating under Cypriot Investment Firm registration HE230122. This gives clients in regulated jurisdictions the standard package: segregated funds, Investor Compensation Fund coverage up to €20,000, and EU-aligned conduct rules.
The offshore entity (LiteFinance Global LLC, SVG registration 931 LLC 2021) handles clients outside CySEC's scope. As with any SVG-only book, regulatory recourse is thinner — capital segregation is still required but there's no compensation scheme.
Account types & minimum deposit
Three primary account types:
- Cent — $10 minimum, contracts in cents, leverage up to 1:100. Built for new traders learning real-money psychology without risking real-money capital.
- Classic (Standard) — $50 minimum, standard pricing with floating spreads from 0.9 pips, no commission.
- ECN — $50 minimum, raw spread from 0.0 pips plus commission (varies by symbol).
Islamic (swap-free) variants are available on all account types.
Fees, spreads & costs
Classic-account spreads start at 0.9 pips on EUR/USD. The ECN tier brings spreads down to 0.0 pips on majors with a per-lot commission that varies by instrument — competitive with the better ECN-focused brokers though not the absolute cheapest. Overnight swaps are published in the trading conditions document; budget for these if you hold positions multiple days.
No deposit fees. Withdrawal fees depend on method and currency rail.
Trading platforms
MT4, MT5, and cTrader cover the full range of retail trading workflows. The web trader is available for users who can't or don't want to install desktop software. Mobile apps for both Android and iOS sync with the desktop accounts.
LiteForex's copy-trading platform sits as a layer over the standard platforms — strategy providers publish verified results and followers allocate capital with adjustable risk multipliers.
Asset class coverage
289 instruments total:
- 57 forex pairs
- 128 stock CFDs
- 74 cryptocurrencies
- 14 indices
- 9 energy contracts
- 7 metals
Maximum leverage is 1:1000 for clients on the SVG entity; CySEC retail clients are capped at 1:30 per ESMA rules.
Deposits & withdrawals
Standard funding rails: bank wire, credit/debit cards, e-wallets (WebMoney, Skrill, Neteller), plus crypto deposits in Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Monero, Tether, and Ethereum. Crypto deposits clear fastest — typically within 30 minutes on USDT-TRC20. Withdrawals follow the same rails and similar timing.
Customer support
24/5 live chat in multiple languages. Email response averages a few hours during business days. Phone support is available but the live chat queue is generally faster.
Verdict — who is LiteForex for?
LiteForex is the broker for traders who want a long-track-record CySEC-regulated operator without the $200-$500 minimum deposit that some peers require. The $10 cent account is a real-money starting point for learners; the ECN account at $50 is a value tier for active retail.
It's not the cheapest-spread broker in the market, and the offshore book doesn't carry top-tier regulation, but the combination of two-decade history, CySEC oversight, and accessible deposit tiers makes LiteForex a reasonable mainstream choice.
