Overview
FxPro is a multi-regulated global broker founded in 2006, headquartered in the United Kingdom. Across nearly two decades of operation, the broker has built one of the most complete platform offerings in retail forex — supporting all four major platforms (MT4, MT5, cTrader, and its proprietary FxPro Edge platform) under tier-1 regulatory oversight.
The broker positions itself as a serious option for active traders who want platform optionality combined with regulatory credibility. FxPro has won multiple "Best Broker" awards over its operational history.
Regulation & safety
FxPro holds licenses from five jurisdictions: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), FSCA (South Africa), SCB (Bahamas), and FSC (Mauritius). The FCA license is the headline — among the strictest forex regulators globally — and provides UK-resident clients with FSCS compensation scheme coverage up to £85,000.
Client funds are held in segregated accounts at top-tier banks. Negative balance protection is mandatory across all entities. The broker publishes audited financial statements annually.
Accounts
FxPro offers four account types, each tuned for different trader profiles:
- FxPro MT4 / MT5 — standard accounts with spreads from 1.2 pips, $100 minimum
- FxPro cTrader — ECN-style with raw spreads from 0.45 pips + $4.50 commission per round-turn
- FxPro Edge — proprietary platform with negotiated spreads for active traders
Fees & spreads
Standard account EUR/USD spreads run 1.2–1.6 pips. The cTrader account drops this to 0.45–0.7 pips plus the $4.50 per-lot round-turn commission, which is competitive within the tier-1 ECN segment. No deposit fees. Withdrawal fees apply for some payment methods.
FxPro also offers a 5% retention bonus on equity above $50k for high-balance accounts — meaningful for traders running larger books.
Platforms
Platform coverage is FxPro's strongest competitive advantage. All four major platforms are supported:
- MetaTrader 4 — full EA support, mobile, web
- MetaTrader 5 — additional asset classes, deeper backtesting
- cTrader — ECN-focused, advanced order types, depth-of-market
- FxPro Edge — proprietary, integrated charting and analytics
Asset coverage
FxPro covers the broadest asset range among tier-1 brokers we test:
- Forex: 70+ pairs
- Stock CFDs (US, EU, UK, AU)
- Index CFDs (20+ global indices)
- Commodity CFDs (metals, energies, agriculture)
- Crypto CFDs (BTC, ETH, and major alts)
- Futures CFDs (limited)
Deposits & withdrawals
Deposits accept bank wire, credit/debit card, Skrill, Neteller, and PayPal in select regions. Crypto deposits are not standard but available on request through certain entities. Withdrawal processing typically completes inside 24 hours from FxPro's side.
No internal withdrawal fees, but third-party payment processors may add their own charges.
Customer service
Support is available 24/5 via live chat, email, and phone in 20+ languages. Response times in our testing averaged under 4 minutes on live chat. The broker also operates a callback service for traders who prefer phone.
Verdict
FxPro is the safest "do-it-all" pick on our list. Multi-regulator coverage, every platform a serious trader could want, broad asset range, and a clean operational track record. The only mark against it is that pure-ECN spreads aren't quite as tight as IC Markets or Pepperstone — but for traders who don't want to compromise on platforms or regulation, FxPro is the strongest all-rounder.
