Overview

ePlanetBrokers is a newer offshore broker launched in 2018, positioning itself as an accessible entry-point for retail forex traders. The broker focuses on a simple onboarding process, low minimum deposit, and broad asset coverage including forex, CFDs, and crypto.

Six-plus years of operation puts ePlanetBrokers past the highest-risk window for newer brokers, but it remains significantly less established than FxPro, IC Markets, or Pepperstone. The trade-off is lower barriers to entry — useful for traders starting small.

Regulation & safety

ePlanetBrokers operates under FSC (Mwali) — an offshore regulator that provides basic operational oversight but does not match the protections of FCA, ASIC, or CySEC. Client funds segregation is implemented but the compensation scheme coverage is limited compared to tier-1 jurisdictions.

The broker's track record on withdrawals from our test accounts has been clean, but traders should size positions in line with the offshore regulatory profile — this is not a broker to use as a primary custodian for large balances.

Accounts

Account types are kept deliberately simple. There's a Standard account with fixed spreads and an ECN account with raw spreads plus commission. Demo accounts are available without time limits.

  • Standard — $50 minimum deposit, fixed spreads
  • ECN — $200 minimum, raw spreads from 0.3 pips + $7 round-turn commission

Fees & spreads

Standard account spreads on EUR/USD typically run 1.5–2.0 pips during liquid sessions. The ECN account brings this down to 0.3–0.6 pips plus the $7 round-turn commission. For traders running more than 2 lots per month, ECN works out cheaper.

There is no inactivity fee on the standard tier. Overnight swap fees are slightly above industry average — worth checking if you hold positions for multiple days.

Platforms

MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are the only platforms. Both come with full EA support, mobile apps, and web versions. There is no proprietary platform, no cTrader, and no TradingView integration.

Asset coverage

Asset coverage is broader than the older offshore brokers but narrower than tier-1 multi-asset providers like FxPro.

  • Forex: 45+ pairs
  • CFDs on stock indices and commodities
  • Crypto CFDs (BTC, ETH, and selected altcoins)

Deposits & withdrawals

Deposits accept bank wire, credit/debit cards, and a wide range of crypto channels including USDT (TRC20 and ERC20), which is helpful for traders in regions with restricted bank-wire access. Withdrawal processing typically completes inside 24 hours from the broker's side.

Customer service

Support runs via live chat and email. English-language coverage runs 24/5 during market hours. Response times in our testing were under 10 minutes on live chat — slightly slower than the tier-1 brokers but acceptable.

Verdict

ePlanetBrokers fills a clear niche: low entry barrier, broad crypto rails, simple account structure. It's a fit for traders starting small or in regions where tier-1 brokers don't reliably accept clients. For traders with larger balances or who specifically need FCA / ASIC protection, FxPro or Pepperstone are the better choices.
